Am saying goodbye to my '98 Phase 1 V6 GTV that I have had for 9 years at the end of the month
I have replaced it with a late 2004 V6 GT that already has a Q2 diff fitted
Jamie Porter found it for me and is doing a full cam belt change and generally fettling it before I pick it up at the end of the month.
It is dark blue with a pale grey leather interior, the two colours seem to go together well have only seen one or two pics so far will post some once I get my hands on the car.
Needed to make the change to accommodate the Pepper cherubs and baggage at the same time as you can't do both with a GTV!
So I will have some GTV items to sell that the buyer doesn't want; firstly the red leather momo seats and door inserts, I never got round to fitting them. The OEM very smart chrome luggage rack that fits either GTV or Spider complete with leather straps to hold smallish soft bag/suitcase or skis on. Also have a spare coolant resevoir and a complete phase 1 centre facia both sections that I was going to strip the rubber coating off, change the colour to titanium and fit. Lastly a new complete passenger side door rubber that I picked up as a "just in case its needed" spare.

Its old but its fast

Re: Bye bye GTV

Sorry Ray no photo can snd you some next week after 25th when am back in UK. It's a neat bit of kit you just need an allen key to attach it in a matter of minutes. The feet where it attaches to the boot lid are well padded with rubber so it doesn't mark paintwork. Have to check but I think I paid £160 for off fleabay it was new unused still covered in plastic so £100 should buy it.

Re: Bye bye GTV

OK, no rush, I can wait until you come back, your new GT sounds nice, good colour combination Blue with the grey interior. Me Twinny is going in for her cambelt service on the 26th, a bloke called Loui at Somerton is doing it, at least I can then breath easier. He is an Italian car specialist and he seems to know what he is about.

You can email me on smiffyatoneteldotcom with the pics, me mobile number is 07976 802647 100 squids seems fair if it's as you say.

Cheers, Ray.

Re: Bye bye GTV

Of all the owners I thought you would have kept the Gtv until the bitter end but I fully appreciate pressures of family space requirements.
But at least you are staying with a Busso and the GT is a very handy sized coupe too.
If you were closer I may have relieved you of a header tank and door seal as they are both on my to do list.

Please post some pics of the GT when you can.

Re: Bye bye GTV

Davey header tank weighs nothing could be posted passenger door seal still in bag bit heavier though.
Chasmiff will send pics of luggage rack next week, are similar ones on internet but £220+ and no straps
Went for GT as it has been looked after all its life by JP and its the last chance to get another Busso engined car only were 400 V6 GT's brought into UK.
Guy that is buying GTV lives literelly at bottom of lane so not moving very far always said he wanted first offer.
Don't like Brera V6 to big and clumsy its slower than GTV!

Glad the Gtv is going to a good home and no doubt you could swing a spin or two in it.

Left me know what you would like for tank then, door seal can wait for a while as mine isn't too bad.

Have you got a photo of the luggage rack thingy? What you asking for it?

Sorry mate somebody came for the red Momo leather seats and doorcard inserts I had, saw the luggage rack wanted it as well, so I sold the lot for 300 notes, seats 200 rack 100.
