Has anybody sussed out how to adjust the windows yet? I need to drop one by a mm or two.
Sounds likes it could be a barrel of laughs.

Re: Adjusting windows, non auto-drop

Thanks P. Little chore for tomorrow if the weather is good.
The bowden cable is a little slack and also needs attention otherwise I have to open doors for the passengers.

Re: Adjusting windows, non auto-drop

Ok all sorted. Feeling kinda proud but in honesty is was more luck than judgement.
There are two release clamps at the top of the door and two more further down, I only needed to drop the window a mm or two and lean it towards the car. Worse thing was getting the sticky liner off and fixing the door car on again but a length of low diameter hose over the pin made that easier.
Bit of packing on the handle end of the Bowden cable and passengers can now escape.
All washed and hovered for the Gloucester Car Show tomorrow.

Well done not easy is it but worth the effort, when I got my V6 nearside window went up too far and used to pop out at speed, once adjusted it was fine.

Thanks, nice to achieve something even if it appears an easy task for others more at home with a spanner.
Next a rattle from underneath and the classic Gtv issue - thermostat.

Well I thought it was the stat but actually must have been the maf on its way out, this morning it was quite lumpy and wouldn't rev over 2200.
Unplugged maf and ran sweet with 90 degree temp. Got a new maf on order now.

My MAF OK I think Phase 1 MAF's supposed to be less trouble than Phase 2 MAF's but I may be wrong! My MAF original at least as long as I have had car now 9 years.
